Microsoft Teams is replacing Skype for Business

You may have noticed Microsoft Teams has been launching upon login and coming to the forefront of our user experience lately.

This is part of the efforts by Microsoft to get the users to start using Teams as opposed to Skype for Business. They have recently announced the official date when they plan to shut off the Skype for Business service. This date is July 31, 2021, giving us 2 years to transition and become accustom to the new platform.

Teams is designed to act not only as a communication tool, but also as a collaborative toolkit for team projects. This includes group conversations, shared files, a shared OneNote, and a large collection of tab and app options.

Becoming familiar with Microsoft Teams before the service cut off date in two years will allow you to be transitioned comfortably.
